The Patna Metro was formally launched today by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, giving the people of Bihar a long-awaited present. Following the announcement, a new era in Bihar's urban transport system has begun with the general public's access to the Metro service.

Across stations, digital display boards greeted travellers with the words "Welcome to Patna Metro," and happy commuters were spotted enjoying their inaugural rides. The 4.3-kilometer first route offers Patna residents a nice and easy travel experience.

A number of passengers conveyed their enthusiasm, referring to the launch as a "historic step" for the advancement of the state. According to one commuter, the Metro will improve Bihar's infrastructure to an international level and lessen traffic in the capital.

Others likened this event to the inception of Delhi Metro, stating that Patna will soon expand and link additional places, from Paliganj to Maranchi, just as Delhi's network grew to nearly 1,100 km.

Passengers marvelled at the Buddhist-inspired patterns and Mithila artwork inside the coaches, which symbolised Bihar's rich cultural legacy. The rooms' exquisite fusion of classic art and modern design impressed many.

One traveler said, "We are proud of this moment. I've been in the metros in Delhi and Mumbai, but I get emotional when I see our own Patna metro. Bihar is genuinely evolving.

Another noted, "Before, traffic jams would make the same route take more than an hour." It will just take a few minutes now. This is actual advancement. ISBT and Bhutnath are connected by the Metro's first running route, which will formally open to the public tomorrow. Officials claim that the fee is ₹15 for trips up to 3 kilometres and ₹30 for trips beyond that.

The Chief Minister himself bought a ticket and spoke with passengers on the first voyage from the depot to Bhutnath station. Attending government representatives were ecstatic, describing the occasion as a "dream come true" for Bihar.

Three stations are operational at the moment, and more will open in the upcoming stages. In order for more residents to take use of the new Metro line, authorities have pledged to swiftly expand the network.

Every face displays pride and delight as the Patna Metro embarks on its voyage. Many see this as a representation of Bihar's modernisation and change under Nitish Kumar's direction, rather than merely a transit project.
