Mumbai municipal authorities on Saturday confirmed four more cases of the novel coronavirus in the city. This brought the total number of cases to nine in Mumbai and 26 to Maharashtra.
Of the four new cases tested positive for Kovid-19 at Mumbai's Kasturba Hospital, one patient is from Mumbai while the other is from the peripheral cities of Kalyan, Kamothe and Vashi. Of the total nine cases in Mumbai, while five are residents of the city, the others are from outside.

The BMC on Saturday launched a 300-bed quarantine facility at Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai and three suspected patients were hospitalized after suspected cases were found at Mumbai's airport.
Health department officials said that the history of most of the patients was outside India, with the rest being directly in contact with the affected people. No need to panic. Deputy Health Officer Dr. Daksha Shah said that unless there is a history of travel or contact with a patient, testing is not needed.
Two family members of a senior citizen who tested positive at Hinduja Hospital have tested positive. There were concerns after a patient tested positive in a private hospital, but all eight high-risk contacts placed in quarantine at Hinduja Hospital tested negative and all are asymptomatic. Hinduja Hospital assured that all steps are being taken for safety. And patients are being well hospitalized.
To deal with the increase in Kovid-19 cases, KEM Hospital in Mumbai will have an additional center for testing samples of suspected coronavirus patients within a week. The current facility at Kasturba Hospital is working round the clock to prepare results for suspected cases.
