The central government has come up with a list of economic activities that will be allowed from 20 April.

A day after extending the lockdown until 3 May to stop the spread of Kovid-19, the central government has come up with a list of economic activities that will be allowed from 20 April.

  According to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, e-commerce firms will now be able to distribute non-essential items from April 20.  This means that online business which had been stalled for about a month is likely to take place.  back on track.

  The latest guidelines also stated that all freight traffic would be allowed to ply across the country, except for demarcated content zones - hotspots or red zones - where the spread of infection is high.



 This includes the operation of railways for the transportation of goods and parcels, operations at airports, land ports for cargo movement, and the movement of trucks and commercial vehicles for pick-up and delivery of goods.

  Vehicles used for e-commerce operators will be allowed to ply with the necessary permission.

  Apart from this, all grocery stores and shops are also allowed to sell food and groceries, hygiene items, fruits and vegetables, dairy and milk booths, poultry and animal feed and fodder, which would ensure strict opening.  And it is allowed to operate without any restrictions.  Close.  Measures of social distance.

         According to some media reports, most online delivery companies have been raising the issue of manpower shortage during the lockdown period.  Delivery officers who have returned to their hometown are either unwilling to return due to fear of viruses or are not able to because of transport not being available.

  In addition, strict action against some last-mile delivery personnel and the closure of warehouses during the early days of lockout increased their concern.  Companies now want to get more clarity from the government

  E-commerce firms including Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal have welcomed the move and are ready to follow all the guidelines and take steps together with all state governments and local authorities.

  Meanwhile, the revised guidelines have allowed the functioning of essential commodities and food processing industries, including IT hardware, medicines, and pharmaceuticals.
