Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a stern warning to rioters and their instigators in Bareilly. CM Yogi said that certain Maulanas have forgotten whose government is in power in UP. He added that earlier, before 2017, the system was often brought to a standstill, but now rioters are being taught lessons that will make even future generations think ten times before creating trouble.

The CM pointed out that eight years ago, imagining world-class infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh was a dream. During earlier festivals, disturbances and chaos were common. Now, he said, miscreants will be reminded for seven generations of their wrongdoings. He emphasized that bad habits do not go away easily, and strict enforcement of the law is necessary to correct them. He said Bareilly is proof that no one should forget who governs UP today.

The CM declared that blocking the system or enforcing curfews will no longer be allowed. He cautioned that rioters would face consequences so severe that their descendants would not forget them.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Bareilly authorities confirmed that 10 FIRs have been registered so far. Seven of them are against Maulana Tauqir Raza, who has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. A total of 39 people have been detained, with eight of them, including Tauqir Raza, arrested and sent to jail. Raza faces several cases for delivering inflammatory speeches.

Police have also recovered weapons including blades, stones, wooden sticks, lathis, live cartridges, an improvised pistol, and even petrol bombs. These recoveries indicate that there was a well-planned conspiracy to incite riots and disturb peace in Bareilly.

The violence left 22 police personnel injured, some from gunfire. Authorities suspect that criminal elements from outside the district were involved and were receiving instructions over WhatsApp calls. Investigations are underway to identify the masterminds behind the conspiracy.

According to SSP Bareilly, the rioters followed a clear pattern: first engaging with police, then pelting stones, and even targeting senior officers. Their aim was to spread violence simultaneously across multiple locations, suggesting careful coordination.

Currently, Tauqir Raza remains under house arrest, and further investigations are ongoing to identify those who directed the conspiracy. Bareilly DM Avinash Singh confirmed that the situation is now under control, peace has been restored across the district, and no fresh incidents have been reported.
