Marathi boy's life was taken by marathi - The Tragic Story of a Student Lost to Hate

For a long time, certain regional groupings have been linked to playing politics over language, which frequently causes divisions between Marathi speakers and North Indian people.

A terrible tragedy occurred lately as a result of this dividing mindset: a Marathi student was attacked by other Marathi passengers on a train because he talked in Hindi. Arnav, a 19-year-old student, committed suicide because he was unable to deal with the anguish and humiliation.

Now, the nation is left wondering: Who killed Arnav? "Please move ahead a little," was Arnav's first straightforward request. However, he was apparently insulted so viciously by people who advocate linguistic extremism that he was unable to recover from the emotional impact.

Grief permeates the environment at home. His father is still unable to comprehend how such a catastrophe came to pass, and his mother is inconsolable. The fact that Arnav himself came from a Marathi household is even more startling.

However, he spoke in Hindi throughout his local train trip, which infuriated some passengers who thought he should only speak Marathi. Arnav was traveling to his college in Mulund, just like he did every day. A verbal altercation developed from a small shove in the packed train.

Several people started assaulting Arnav when he answered in Hindi. He was even pushed out of the moving train by several. He got off the train one station early out of dread.

The event happened on November 18. Arnav told his father everything that same day. He clarified that passengers were bumping into one another because of the morning rush. Another passenger slapped him and demanded why he wasn't speaking Marathi after he courteously asked a neighboring Hindi-speaking commuter to proceed.

He was made fun of by the assailants, who said he was ashamed of his mother tongue. He was still being beaten by others who joined in. Arnav was scared, and when he got home, he told his father about the whole experience. The family resided in Kalyan (East), and later that evening, Arnav committed himself due to extreme distress.

Police have started looking into the event and filed a case. However, this tragedy serves as a sobering warning and a jab at those who use rhetoric to incite hatred. Maharashtra's conscience is tarnished by it.

The public's message is very clear: those who incite hatred in others' ears never face the repercussions themselves; instead, they just fan the flames and move on, leaving others to suffer.
